Added to this there are factors that cause you body shape to change over time such as your height as you grow older; weight gain or loss through diet changes; pregnancy; changes in exercise regime and posture.<br />

You know your bra is undersized when: your straps cause redness where they contact your shoulders or sides due to being tight; you experience any form of discomfort while wearing a bra; you have spillage over your cups and/or back-strap. The most common sign of a bra being too loose is having a gap between your cups. Although measuring your bra is rated as being somewhat of an art, this guide should point you in a good direction.</p>
<p>Many women are not entirely sure what their exact size is.  Some feel that they fall between sizes. However the general idea is to try various styles, sizes and cup shapes until you find a combination that is comfortable.</p>
<p>To get a good idea what size bra you need, wear your most comfortable non-padded bra.  Don’t try this with restrictive, minimizers or cleavage maximizers.   The shoulder straps should also not be loose or too tight as this will skew the measurement results. You will also need a measuring tape, if you’re short a measuring tape substitute it with some string or material – providing it’s not going to stretch.</p>
<p>Step 1: Get the right Band Size: Take the tape or string and start at the centre of your chest, lead the tape under your arm and high across your back and through under your other arm &#8211; keep the tape towards the top of your chest.  Take note of the measurement or use a ruler to measure your string or material, if it is an even number such as 36”, then mark it down as your band size.  If your measurement is an odd number such as 35”, just add 1” and note it as your band size.</p>
<p>Step 2: Get your Cup Size: Place the tape ( or string) around the fullest extend of your bust – take care not to go too tight. Subtract the figure noted in step 1 this new measurement.  This represents you cup size. </p>
<p>If the difference is less than 1” your cup size is “AA”, for a 1” difference: size A, and so on for each inch of difference: 2” = B, 3” = C, 4” = D, 5” = DD, 6” = DDD, etc. up to 9” = 6D, however from 10” cup J, 11” = K, 12” = L.</p>
